Workshop Policies
Please check with the Educational Director to determine if the faculty member has approved taping. Only members in attendance who have paid for the day's
work may video tape. Videos may be used for educational purposes only. Due to choreographic and copyright infringements, parents (or others)
are NOT allowed to video tape; even if it is just for their individual child. Photos may not be taken during classes with the exception of the official
DMW photographer.
Observer Policy
Observers must be non-dance affiliated. ALL observers will pay the required fees unless specifically excused by the constitution.
Observers are only allowed in student dance rooms. ABSOLUTELY NO OBSERVERS ALLOWED IN THE TEACHERS' ROOM even when senior students are
participating in that room. Observers must attend an orientation before receiving a badge.
Dress Code
ALL DANCERS should wear leotards and tights. NO bare midriffs, thong outfits, biker shorts or bulky clothing which conceal body lines.
Secure ALL hair off face and neck. Dance shoes, appropriate to dance discipline, are required. A cover-up is required when leaving the dance area.
Room Designation
Students may only participate in the room for which they are registered. Students may NOT visit and/or participate in other classrooms.
Teachers may visit other classrooms, BUT MAY NOT DANCE IN THOSE ROOMS. Assistant teachers are allowed to observe (NOT DANCE) in other classrooms with
their teacher's consent. The Sergeant-at-Arms must be notified of the authorization either verbally or in writing. If a TEACHER feels her student was
placed incorrectly, teacher and student may request different placement.
