MELISSA ANDERSON: has performed in principal and soloist roles with Milwaukee Ballet, National Ballet of Iceland,
and Ballet Teatro Municipal do San Juan among others. She has been a performing member of the Danceworks Performance Company since 2001. Her early training was
at the Central Wisconsin School of Ballet in Wausau, WI, continuing her studies at the Chicago City Ballet and the Ruth Page Foundation. She has been coached and
trained by Ballet Masters from the Bolshoi, the Kirov, and the Ballet Russes. Melissa created and developed the ongoing Creative Movement and Dance for the
Physically Handicapped sponsored by Very Special Arts Minnesota. She regularly teaches and choreographs for DMW, CNADM, NADDA, and the Texas Association of
Teachers of Dance. Melissa teaches ballet for UW Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts and teaches dance fitness and various levels of ballet at Danceworks Water
Street studio and at the Wilson Center for the Arts.
SHANNON LEVITT: began her formal dance training in Omaha, NE followed by studying with studios in the Northwest
Suburbs of Chicago. During College, Shannon studied with the University of Illinois Dance Department and Joel Hall Center in Chicago. She was a member of the
nationally ranked University of Illinois-Urbana Dance Team and the University of Illinois-Chicago Dance Team. Furthermore, Shannon has choreographed and coached
state championship level dance teams while traveling to work with high school teams competing at the National level. Shannon has choreographed several musical
theatre productions and most recently choreographed pieces for the Essencia Dance Festival and the Hope Through Dance Festival. In addition to teaching high
school English, Shannon teaches advanced level classes at All That Dance Studio, after-school programs for the Lake Geneva School District, and is performing
with Sparrow Dance Company based in Burlington, WI.
AMY BRINKMAN-SUSTACHE: is one of the founding members of Danceworks. She has a long history with the organization
as a teacher, choreographer, and administrator and in 1998 she became the studio director for Danceworks. As a performer, Ms. Brinkman has an extensive background
in both dance and musical theater and has the opportunity to perform throughout Europe, California, Florida, and the Mid-West. She developed a dance curriculum
for Pius XI High School Theatre Arts program where she taught and choreographed concert dance and musical theatre from 1992-2000. She currently serves on the
Department of Dance at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Marquette University as well as on the Danceworks faculty. Ms. Brinkman is the Artistic Director
of Danceworks on Tap (DOT), Danceworks’ resident tap performance ensemble, and is the state representative for the International Tap Association (ITA).
