ANDREW TOMLINSON: Geneva, Illinois, is in his 3rd season with BAM!. A former member of Especially Tap Chicago, Andy has been dancing for over 20 years. He has been lucky enough to perform with the likes of Gregory Hines, Dianne Walker, the Nicholas Brothers, Jimmy Slyde, Clayton “Peg Leg” Bates and Savion Glover. has studied under Lane Alexander, Dianne Walker, Bruce Stegman, Idella Reed, Wilfredo Rivera, Homer Bryant, and Joel Hall. He has been teaching tap, hip hop, ballet, and jazz all over the Chicago land area for the past 15 years.

LAURA TOMLINSON: studied dance at Northern Dance Theatre of Northern Illinois University and at the Dance Center of Columbia College, Chicago where she graduated with a BA in dance performance in 2005, She has developed dance programs and curriculum for dance schools in the Chicago land area at various dance schools. Laura has choreographed professionally for Chicago performance groups and competitions for 11 years. She began performing professionally in Chicago in 2004 and has performed with Chicago Dance Crash, Corpo Dance Company, Inc., and Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre. Laura co-founded Piel Morena Contemporary Dance in 2009. She performs professionally with the group, training in Chicago and internationally in Monterey, Mexico. Laura is the Event Coordinator for PMCD.

JP TENUTA: Oak Park, IL., grew up dancing at the Academy of Movement and Music and MOMENTA. He completed his BFA in Dance at Northern lL University in 1999, where he studied with Randall Newsom and Judith Chitwood. He performed for two years with the Nashville Ballet and two years with Luna Negra. He has performed in the Chicago area with Lyric Opera, the Civic Ballet, Von Heidecke’s Chicago Festival Ballet and the Salt Creek Ballet. He continues to perform and choreograph for MOMENTA and toured Austria with them in June 2010. He has taught in a number of Chicago area schools and is a regular faculty member at the Academy of Movement and Dance.

SHANNON LEVITT: has been a choreographer/instructor/performer for over 15 years. She began her training in Omaha, Nebraska, followed by studying with studios in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. During college she studied with the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign Center in Chicago. Shannon was a member of the nationally ranked U of I Urbana/Champaign Dance Team and the U of I-Chicago Dance Team. She has choreographed and coached state championship level dance teams while traveling to work with high school dance teams competing at the National level. Shannon has choreographed several musical theatre productions and most recently pieces for the Excancia Dance Festival and the Hope Through Dance Festival in Chicago. Currently Shannon teaches at All That Dance in Crystal Lake, IL, teaches after-school dance programs for the Lake Geneva School District, and is performing with Sparrow Dance based in Burlington, WI. In addition to her dance career, she taught English at the high school level for ten years, received her B.A, in English/Education and holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Shannon loves to incorporate her extensive background in education and dance, her dance team training, and innovative choreography into all of her classes.
